Indications for use
Quetiapine is strictly used for acute and chronic psychosis, including schizophrenia.
Contraindications may be hypersensitivity to the drug.
Dosage and administration
Quetiapine should be taken two times a day, regardless of the meal.
The daily dose for adults during the first four days of therapy is 50 mg (1st day), 100 mg (2nd day), 200 mg (3rd day), 300 mg (4th day).
The most frequently reported occurrences of drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, asthenia, constipation, tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension, and dyspepsia. Like other antipsychotics, quetiapine may contribute to the following undesirable effects:
Weight gain, syncope, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, leukopenia, neutropenia, peripheral edema. The adverse effects associated with taking quetiapine are shown in the table below according to the format.

Suicide / suicidal thoughts or clinical worsening, Drowsiness and dizziness, Cardiovascular diseases, Epileptic seizures.
